Fondue Fun

In celebration of Cory's 34th birthday and Amanda's (my brother's girlfriend) graduation from the University of Washington, my mom took us all to The Melting Pot, a well-known fondue eatery in Seattle. We had reservations for 7 and did not get home until well after 11. During that four-hour span, we ate. And we ate. And we ate. We ordered the Special, which included two different cheese fondues with fresh veggies and apples first, then salads, then meats with our choice of two fondue sauces (chicken, shrimp, steak, fish) and finally, and this was the best part, the two flavors of chocolate fondue with marshmallows, brownies and strawberries. To die for. We each ordered a different cocktail, as well, and took turns trying each one. It was a fabulous evening. Thank goodness we all like each other so much. Otherwise, trying to make conversation for over four hours would be tragically difficult. We also had lots of laughs with the spillage factor exercised by both Cory and Amanda. The Melting Pot was not the cheapest place we've ever eaten (by far), but it was worth every cent. Thanks mom!!!
