A New Definition of Green

Thomas Friedman, a NY Times columnist and really smart guy, writes about a myriad of topics, many having to do with practical solutions to today's ever-increasing problems. This article, The Power of Green, was recently republished and although it is long, I think it's worth the read.

On page 11, paragraphs 7 and 8, there is a quote which mimics the one I've just added to the sidebar of this blog: "We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." (Native American Proverb) The issues we face today are so immense and truly make me wonder: What is it going to take to inspire us to ACT for a cleaner, greener, fairer world which can sustain life for many future generations of humans and nonhumans alike? We have ONE finite planet. Our resources are limited. What are we going to DO to protect it? To protect them? To protect us?
