He took short naps in the car there and back. He slept in the travel cot as usual for naps and bedtime. He dealt with cold bath water when we scrubbed him down each night. He played with new toys and saw new scenery as we walked through the village and to the bluff and beaches. He got a few mosquito bites (as did his parents and grandma) and didn't complain even once. He LOVED the bouncy seat we rigged up to the ceiling in the kitchen area and happily ate his meals in it. He splashed around in the salt water and even tried dipping his face in it a few times. He learned how to "play" football with Cory and giggled incessantly whenever Daddy would call "hut! hut!" and swing him up over his head and have Ace "throw" the ball. He sweated with a lack of a/c and did just fine. I tell you - this little guy is one adaptable dude and we are very, very lucky.
While the long weekend at the place we stayed was nothing we would recommend to friends - for us, it worked and was an excellent precursor to future travel with Aiston. We got to get out of Manila and into some fresh, sea air while taking walks and drinking some wine upon our return, as well as catch up on some reading and watch Aiston explore in a new environment. Well worth the inconvenience of driving and worrying about the traffic, the potholes, the road work or the time.

Wow! Looks like you guys had a great time! All the smiles make me feel so sunshiny! We've had lots of really dreary days lately. This certainly made it better.
