An Update on Ace

Every day, we seem to enjoy something new about Aiston. He is just so lovable. He sleeps like a dream, eats like a garbage disposal, poops regularly, recognizes important people in his life, plays and laughs as if happiness were his only disposition, and notices everything. He loves to listen to music, explore new things, meet new faces and chase after the cats. He adores relaxing in his new stroller and taking walks in the carrier. He is a pretty easy-going little fellow and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Aiston crawls mostly on his knees now, but reverts to flopping like a fish when he wants to get somewhere fast. He is also pulling himself up quite easily and is getting better at getting back down into a sitting position.


Still in the everything-is-edible mode, Aiston chews on all things he can get his hands on: string, plastic, metal drains, phones, cat hair, diapers, water bottle caps, Aerobies, clasps, flip flops, utensils, pens, books, calculators, storage containers, baskets and cushions. We really gotta be on that guy!


One of Aiston's new favorite things to do after he finishes a bottle of milk is to hum into the lid and bite on it so that it covers his nose like a little piggy. He will also shake his head from side to side. He thinks it's so hilarious and so do we.


Finally, Aiston loves his Ate Dels. Cory and I are beyond thankful that Delia will transition from her role as all-around helper into Aiston's yaya (or nanny) full-time. She will still do some cooking and shopping, but most of the other tasks will be taken over by her daughter, Radel, who lives with us already. Delia's family is excited for the extra income and we are excited for the easy transition, one less for us all to get used to, but especially for Aiston.


We are one happy little family!
