Tarsier Monkeys and Christmas Anxiety

Another week is over and only one more to go before the holiday break! We are getting super excited to visit Ams and Del in the land of Oz. They've just bought their first house and we'll be their first guests! We won't be doing the whole run around and sightsee thing, so it will be nice just to chill out and do some normal homey things.

Last weekend, we went to the beach. I was impressed. We got up at six and drove three hours to a peaceful little piece of coast called Virgin Beach. We stayed in breezy thatched-roof rooms that were clean and simple. The food was decent and the beach was sandy, although coarse. There was a nice breeze all weekend, so we never got too hot, but the water was refreshing, too. The boys had a big night the first night and the girls had their own the second night. Some memories include Tarsier monkeys hanging from the beach huts, yelling about stolen BBQ chips, fighting over the job of DJ, among a few games which will not be mentioned here. Some photos:

I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner and I have not done a THING to prepare except buy myself a few new tops and a pair of jeans, have Virgie bake Christmas cookies and think about sending cards. Huh. Guess I'd better get busy.
